If you post infrequently and don’t interact with your followers, your reach will never grow. But if you take the following steps to put a little TLC into Twitter, you can increase your reach.
Have a conversation with your followers: When people take the time to write you, write them back and start the conversation. The more you interact with your followers, the more loyal they are likely to become to your brand. Likes and retweets make your followers get that warm and fuzzy feeling that you care!
Use hashtags constantly: Hashtags are a great, easy way to link common themes or campaigns together. They also allow your followers to keep tabs on what other people are saying. Every tweet should include at least one hashtag.
Try not to push your business or products too much: Have fun with your Twitter account and don’t make it too stuffy. Be sure to use the 80/20 rule and focus 80 percent of your tweets on engagement and 20 percent on offers and promotions.
Promote your account: Post your Twitter handle everywhere. Put it on Facebook, Instagram, Google+, your business card, email signature and even on promotional products. The more your Twitter handle is out there, the more likely people will find you!
The most important tip, though, is to have fun on Twitter. People are following you because they are excited about your brand. Keep them engaged and excited and turn them into brand ambassadors for your company.
